Key competencies are the capabilities people have, and need to develop, to live and learn today and in the future. Within our Pupuke Kahui Ako a team of teachers, from across our schools, has been established. They are looking at the work being done by the OECD and Charles Fadel. Having aligned the OECD’s 2030 competencies to our NZ Key Competencies, they will be helping our ASL’s Darlene Lee and Anita Knight to develop a resource for our teachers that will rejuvenate and further support and enhance our NZ Key Competencies. As this work grows the teams understanding of the competencies our students need to develop moving forward, they hope to develop a Pathway that will provide teachers with the indicators that will improve our transitions and ultimately the wellbeing of our Pupuke students.
