Pupuke Kāhui Ako Student Inquiry Team

Students from around our Pupuke community gathered together at Westlake Girls’ High School on Thursday, May 9, for the first meeting of the new Pupuke Kāhui Ako Student Inquiry Team. The initiative, led by Westlake Girls ASL’s Anete Dezoete and Michelle Cleaver, promotes and prioritises our student body so that they may contribute an authentic voice to the direction and growth of our community. The first session gave representatives from across all of our schools the opportunity to get to know each other and begin to consider key community focuses like wellbeing, key competencies, community engagement and student agency and relationships through a student lens. The morning also provided an opportunity for students to consider the fundamentals of appreciative inquiry; a systematic process to define, discover, dream, design and deliver positive change.
